The story of Ron from Marshal’s is that he was a welder and worked pipelines going across the country. When it was harvest season he would take a month off and go to the closest wine making region and work in a winery. Now you see a man who is as industrious as he is passionate for the grape. He has invented and patented his own punch-down machinery, and made his own in-line grape receiving, picking, and de-stemming machine. He also talks about how he re-lines his barrels with fresh oak staves, and some other barrel usage techniques.
