Day 2 WBC 09 – thoughts and first video.(To be continued) Ask A Blogger~ Saturday was awesome if you were a blogger and at the WBC! Overall WBC09 was a smashing success. The morning started off with an enthralling lecture at the CIA- Greystone. The first lecture was great, and my take on the lecture […]
Witness Tree was another one of those places I was recommended to go to, and boy am I glad I did. There is nothing better than cruising up to a vineyard and sitting and drinking wine with the proprietors on their front porch. Admittedly, Dennis from Witness Tree was not sure what I (Vineyard Vlog) […]
Vista Hills is a close partner to Soiree and we could not be happier for that. Vista Hills makes some extraordinary wines, and when you try them you will recognize an earthiness that is reminiscent of old-world Pinot Noir. They have almost 50 acres under vine and as a result have a breadth of capabilities […]
Styring was recommened to us and we were happy they let us come in un-announced. They took us in and showed us all around their facility which is steadily moving along to be a great facility. As you will see in the video, their wines are decorated like a war veteran, and they have recently […]
Penner Ash is set up on a hill with great views and a very well-designed tasting room and winery. The whole facility is striking in it’s post & beam style architecture – and the wines are not shadowed by this. As you’d expect from any Willamette Valley winery, they have an emphasis on Pinot Noir. […]
Domaine Serene is a beautiful vineyard and the majestic name is supported by a very regal facility and tasting room. An emphasis on Pinot Noir, but also have Burgundian style chardonnay and a Syrah. I hope this video is an enjoyable as their wine.
Montinore Estate is a wonderful campus of tasting areas, vineyards, wine production, and of course a tasting room / hospitality center. Marc Hinton, Director of Hospitality, gave us a wonderful tour of the estate and we got so much great footage, that there are 3 videos to see. (Links to their Bottling & Winery). The […]
Here are 3 videos from Montinore Estate. Starting at the bottling line, then an overview of their fermenting tanks, a look at wine filtration, and the lines that feed the bottling process. Also see the video of the bottling line here.
I can not say enough good things about Ron at Marshal’s Vineyard, what a genuine guy. We met Ron at the Wings&Wine festival, and Ron said if Vyd Vlog came up, he’d give us a barrel tasting. Well, I don’t think we left a barrel untouched, and he’s got varietals galore just hanging out in […]
The story of Ron from Marshal’s is that he was a welder and worked pipelines going across the country. When it was harvest season he would take a month off and go to the closest wine making region and work in a winery. Now you see a man who is as industrious as he is […]
